Bio

Graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with my Bachelor in Music Education in 2015. I will wrap up my Masters in Music Education from Lindenwood University in May 2020. While at Southeast, I met my wife, Kayla Price, who is also a music educator. We got marries August 2016. Since then, we have purchased a house, and have a little fur-baby (cat). My hobbies include building, specifically fine furniture such as tables, keep sake boxes, jewelry boxes, night stands, etc. My passion for teaching stems from wanting to be there for students who are having a tough day, show them there is someone who cares about them and what they may be going through. To have fun with them and show these young minds that even though the world is tough, the journey can be fun and the end product is something worth working towards. I seek to change lives, one day at a time. I chose to pursue this passion through music because that is the avenue my life was changed. My director, who I got to know more than any other teacher because I had the privilege of learning under him for 5 years, made sure I knew he cared even as he pushed my abilities and demanded excellence. Music allows me to see students for multiple years, build relationships and allow them a creative way to express themselves.
